Italian football giants Inter Milan have confirmed the numbers for both new players and the ones returning to the club from loan. The numbers were confirmed earlier on Friday.
Belgian international Lukaku scored 24 goals on the way to that title but has left to return to Chelsea for €115 (£98m). On his part, Moroccan international Hakimi left the Italian football giants after one season and he’s now at French club Paris Saint Germain (PSG). PSG paid around €70m to sign him from the Italian football team.
Inter Milan have moved to replace both Lukakuand Hakimi with Dzeko and Dumfries respectively. The two new players have been assigned squad numbers for the season. Dutch international Dumfries will wear the number 2 shirt for the 2021/22 season, while Bosnian striker Dzeko will wear the number 9 shirt.
Turkish international HakanCalhanoglu was signed on a free transfer earlier this summer after leaving rivals AC Milan at the end of his last contract with the club and he has been given the number 20 shirt. Eddie Salcedo will wear number 16 shirt for the new campaign, while Alex Cordaz and Federico DiMarco will wear number 21 shirt and number 32 shirt respectively.
Inter Milan are still in the market for possible signings with a striker their top priority for the remainder of the transfer window. The Italian football giants have been linked with a lot of striker options from DusanVlahovic of Fiorentina, Marcus Thuram of Borussia Moenchengladbach, Joaquin Correa of Lazio and many more. The Nerazzuri have signed an experienced campaigner like Dzeko but they want at least one more attacker and that would join the Bosnian and Lautaro Martinez as the central strikers in the first team.
